Things we love: spicy food, sweet flavors, and (maybe most of all) mixing them together in a single recipe. Today brings good news for those of you with similar palates -- our recipe for grilled skirt steak with peach salsa combines just those tastes. Gaining some heat from chopped Thai chilies, this salsa was a favorite in our test kitchen. It's equally delicious when paired with a light flaky fish or every on it's own (just pass the chips!).

- 1 pound hanger steak
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil, plus more for grilling
- 3 peaches, halved and pitted,
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 Thai chilies (or 1 serrano), seeded and minced
- 2 plum tomatoes, coarsely chopped
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- Coarse salt
- 1/2 cup finely shredded fresh basil
